VISION-MISSION STATEMENT

The Vision-Mission Statement of Montessori de Zamboanga which serves as a radiance in guiding its direction in pursuing its goals and objectives.  It is a spontaneous expansive education system designed to afford the child to move and act in a prepared environment encouraging self-development.  It has a mission in developing all aspects of life: physically, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and intellectually through the provision of a prepared environment where the children can learn through their senses and fully exercise all their faculties.

 

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The Montessori de Zamboanga School Program is designed and operated to realize the following goals and objectives:

  1. Developing the children’s moral and spiritual values that would enable them to become disciplined, compassionate children of God, to be good and productive citizens of the country.
  2. Developing basic skills that would enable them, even at their young age, to contribute to the national progress.
  3. Developing basic skills that are needed for technical, economic, scientific and social growth and progress.
  4. Learning by doing, acquiring a healthy attitude towards work that is free from extrinsic incentive, rewards, or even rivalry or competition.
  5. Adopting a sense of responsibility toward oneself and others.

INSTRUCTIONAL ACADEMIC OBJECTIVES

The Instructional Academic Objectives of Montessori de Zamboanga are in consonance with the Vision-Mission statement, to wit;

  1. To develop pupils/students to become self-integrating human persons imbued with a sense of human dignity and possessing a sense of responsibility towards their environment and nation.
  2. To develop pupils/students competencies in speaking, writing, reading and listening, necessary to express their ideals, belief, aspirations  and form opinions or judgement effectively in accordance with human values.
  3. To provide opportunities for and encouraging participation in a variety of classroom and outdoor activities and experiences which broaden pupils'/students' interest, understanding and appreciation of the language as an effective tool for communication.
  4. To assist pupils/students in evaluating and synthesizing desirable influences from the different cultures of the world that will guide them in their value choices through reading and listening.
  5. To develop pupils/students competencies in Mathematics, to face the needs of rapidly changing society.
  6. To develop the pupils/students awareness and commitment to the Montessori goals by preserving, cherishing, and developing moral and spiritual values through intellectual situation, experimentation and the wise use of technology.
  7. To integrate environmental education in the Science program so as to develop in the pupils/students love and care of the environment.
  8. To assist pupils/students in the acquisition of basic knowledge and skills in Science necessary for their growth and development as productive citizens.
  9. To train pupils/students to be creative and utilize indigenous materials in project-making.
  10. To assist pupils/students in developing the basic skills involved in the various occupation opportunities by providing them learning experiences that are useful both in and out of the school.
  11. To develop love, appreciation, desirable attitudes and value for work which will contribute to effective personal family and community living.
  12. To develop basic skills in character and body building through citizenship leadership training, acquisition of competencies, creativeness and physical fitness that will lead to formation patterned after Christian principles.
  13. To provide opportunities to pupils/students to how appreciation for and take pride in indigenous contemporary Filipino arts and cultures by participating in and attending cultural activities and lead-up games in school and in the community.
  14. /To develop in pupils/students, the value of honesty and sportsmanship during sports competition in and out of the school.
